X-Men Dark Phoenix: Directed by Simon Kinberg
For the studio’s final production in the X-Men series Andrew served as the in-house Compositing Supervisor for 20th Century Fox
on “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”.
Post-viz is an important process on heavily computer generated movies where the principle photography is predominantly chroma-screen. Composites are built using offline footage as a temporary building block to test the the vision for a shot or sequence. This was fast paced multi company effort which the in-house compositing team completed over 270 shots for the film.
Over 1400 shots for the film were outsourced to the incredibly talented artists at
MPC, MELS, Rising Sun Pictures, Rodeo FX, Scanline VFX & Soho FX.
